Avery Edison Blub Pendant is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Nice! I love the bulbs. I wouldn't put them outside though. They are very thin glass. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the cords are different. One cord has a brass bulb fitting with a pretty brass on/off knob. The other has a black rubber bulb fitting and it has to be unplugged. You'd think they would be identical since that's what they show in the photos. This was a birthday present so I wasn't able to return it for a matching cord. He hung them in the corner of his kitchen and wants to buy more to go with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One Big Gust of Wind and Bye Bye - Not Outdoor Use I was excited when I saw these fixtures because I'm always looking for different lighting accents to put in my yard. I purchase three in different sizes. When they arrived I was surprised to see that the cord is not weatherproof. It's an old fashioned woven type that looks really cool but I wouldn't leave it outside in case it rained. I am very surprised Frontgate is advertising these as outdoor lighting fixtures. I assumed they would be made of more durable materials if this were an outdoor product. They are basically HUGE light bulbs made of thicker glass but they really are not thick enough to keep outdoors. God forbid a sudden gust of wind hits because if they clank together (assuming you will arrange them like the photograph), or against a wall they will break. I am debating whether or not to return them because they are really cool but I'll have to put them up inside so they don't break.

Hello....since these (Edison Bulb Pendant Lights) are shown outdoors, can you tell me if they are wet or damp rated? I would like to use in a bathroom over a vessel tub that is located near a shower area.  if not please  let me know if any are rated.

Can these be hard wired?

I want to purchase these lights, but it doesn't say anything about if they can be hard wired? And I'm assuming if they can, the 10' cord can be cut/stripped ends to then hard wire - making it shorter or to the length needed. Is this correct assuming that these can be hardwired and the cord shortened? Also, What happens if these burn out? It looks like the glass and filament are a large "light bulb". Meaning that if they burn out then entire glass with filament then needs to be replaced? I have all kinds of Edison bulbs but none are these size. It doesn't really say anything about that either. The glass doesn't look it is removable to get to the filament so that the entire piece needs replaced if it burns out/breaks/blows out? Is this also correct? Not a lot of neccessay info in description. So can someone help me with these questions? Thx!
