What should I put in the water to keep it from getting slimy. I didn’t want to damage the copper finish by adding bleach.
Thank you for your interest in the Flora Fountain. We recommend using distilled water and adding 1/4 - 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the water. This will help slow the growth of algae which can cause the water to become slimy. Additional care/cleaning instructions have been sent to the email address used when this question was submitted.

Where is the pump on this fountain? How long does the pump last? And if you go away for a long weekend, is there any problem just turning the pump off or unplugging it. And most importantly, how often do you need to refill the pump with water? Thank you
Thank you for your interest in the Flora Fountain. The pump for this fountain is located inside the base. We recommend unplugging the fountain when it's not in use. The water will evaporate and need to be replenished. The top will need to be removed to refill the fountain with water.

Beautiful, love it and so do the birds.
We love how it looks and sounds, and the birds use it to drink and bathe. It's connected to a permanent (underground) hose on a timer, and it stays filled with no manual work. At night, it looks great with the landscape lighting. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and worthy investment
This item was very easy to assemble and is extremely well made. It's beautiful and makes the perfect water sounds, not to loud or splashy. We filled the tank up as high as possible when we first received it and had a pretty vigorous flow. Over time as the water level dropped due to splashing, it appears to have self-corrected and we lose very little water and the flow is more calm. I recommend getting planting rocks for the base to further enhance it. I highly recommend!

Beautiful and quiet
Fountain came with easy instructions. Since using it does not splash outside of the fountain area very much and you cannot hear the pump, just the trickle of water as it cascades down the foundation. Very beautiful and relaxing. We put near out screened in porch to hear the water.

Lovely, elegant fountain

Beautiful Fountain
The fountain was well-packaged and assembly was quick and easy with good instructions. I love how this fountain looks —so beautiful and sculptural. It splashes a bit, so I followed another reviewer’s advice and added rocks to the flowers and base, which helped. The sound is soft and pleasant.
