I bought the Hampton sofa in ivory three years ago. Granted, it is on a covered porch (exposed to morning sun only), but it has held up extremely well. I do not cover it in the winter. We live in the country on the high plains in the Midwest, so it experiences temperature extremes. It is quite heavy and is regularly buffeted by very strong winds, but it typically doesn’t budge. We had an extreme wind event two years ago that toppled trees and structures and which sent this couch sailing 30 yards through the air where it landed upside down on a slope. Unbelievably, except for one small break on one of the lower “lattice twigs”, it came through unscathed. It looks delicate (and is beautiful and very comfortable), but it is also very sturdy. It was a big expenditure for us, but one of my best as we use it nearly every day spring through fall. I am now looking for an outdoor couch to place on the back patio and am strongly considering this product again in driftwood due to the different “aesthetics”, although am more cautious since it will be uncovered. I rarely write reviews, but am so pleased with this product that I thought it might prove helpful to others who live in areas with “lots of weather.”
