Nice, but...
I'm overall happy with this desk, but there are few notes that I think are important to the buyer:
1. The inside of the drawers is actually the same color as the desk. I really liked the natural mahogany wood tone in the displayed picture, and that was one reason I liked and bought this particular desk. Bummer. :(
2. The quality of the wood feels a bit cheap at this price point. Some pieces feel less sturdy than expected, for example, the panel underneath the main wide drawer.
3. The color is closer to gray than beige. The product photos look a bit more beige.

What does the back of the desk look like. Does it have to go against a wall or is the back also finished.

Is the finish cream or grey?
Thank you for your interest in the Hugo Desk. This is made of mahogany wood and finished in a light gray wood veneer. The combination of the two does make it seem like a cream. However, the finish is truly a light gray.
