Nothing elevates a room quite like a display of Ming vases. The wheel-thrown and handpainted masterpieces add a touch of antique charm to any decor, whether displayed alone or in multiples. So when we set out to create our collection, we went straight to the source – all the way in Jingdezhen, China. Artisans here have been producing handcrafted ceramics for 1,700 years, dating all the way back to the Ming dynasty.
Our collection is a mix of traditional Ming patterns intertwined with exclusive Iznik and concentric designs on classic shapes, in a variety of colors. When it comes to showing off your curated collection, the choices are endless. From mini clusters of various sizes and shapes throughout a room, to one destination for all your pieces, it’s hard to go wrong.
If you’re just starting a ceramic collection, the easiest way to create high impact is by displaying a collection of multiple shapes and sizes in one color. Our latest Aqua collection brings new life to Ming vases (and a reason for collectors to revisit their own displays).
Multiple pieces in complementary colors paired with similarly colored objects help modernize your collection. Integrating live florals in select pieces will give a display even more energy.
A bold collection of black and white ceramics yields a graphic display, despite the intricacy of the traditional patterns at play. The juxtaposition of antique style ceramics with the clean lines of a modern shelf is right at home in a contemporary setting.
Once you’ve arranged your own Ming ceramics, be sure to share your displays with the hashtag #LiveFrontgate.
