Rated 3 out of 5 by from Defective? Only 1/2 of the spouts have water flowing. The remaining 1/2 have stagnant water sitting in them. The very top “cup/spout” only flows water from 1 side, leaving 1/2 of the entire fountain with stagnant water and no circulation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We like it Bought it because I wanted a tall fountain with small footprint due to the proposed location. Met my expectations. Looks good. Good water noise. I added some river stones in the pan at the base. Be sure the resivoir is free of any debris which will stop up the pump. Lot of evaporation so needs water added frequently, but hey its a fountain!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful and tranquil The Lotus Flower Fountain is beautiful inside my home. It was easy to set up. I only gave it four stars because the shipping packaging needs major improvement. All the packaging had fallen apart inside, and the pump was just hanging down dangling. It all functioned in the end, but there was one bad spot on the base because of the poor packaging. None of this would stop me from purchasing this again or from recommending it because it truly is quite beautiful and very soothing. I added natural rock at the bottom, which is definitely necessary for a completed look. I set it up with distilled water and added a fungicide. I recommend doing that because it keeps your fountain running beautifully. If you run it 24 seven, which we do, it evaporates about 3 to 4 gallons a week. But it’s worth it. I’m not sure how long it would last outside or in any kind of wind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ambiance So often, garden art that looks really cool in the catalog turns out to be undersized, cheaply made, or just somehow not what you felt you were getting. I'm happy to say that for me, this fountain is an exception to that rule. I would lean heavily toward outdoor use, and I wish that the falling water's sound was a bit more melodious (and a bit less metallic), but this is a striking, compact, and kinetic fountain that's easy to assemble and well worth the sale price. BTW, the other reviews about the messy styrofoam are correct. Do not open the box on a breezy day, and have a hand vacuum at hand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I give this fountain no stars I originally purchased 2 of these lotus fountains. Frontgate says the following: “At Frontgate, our primary focus is quality,” if this statement is true then they wouldn’t unleash this product on their customers without pulling it off their website and fixing existing and reoccurring issues that other comments here keep addressing. First, the damage to the basin of the unit can be simply fixed by correcting how these items are shipped and the packaging material used. The styrofoam is a hot mess. Be prepared to have a vacuum on hand when you open the box. Once open it is extremely likely the basin or tub that holds the water will be dented, dinged, scuffed and scratched from the shifting during shipment of the lotus lattice structure that is inserted into the basin. Run your hand around the base to ensure there are no flaws. This is a cheap fountain and Frontgate should be ashamed to sell it as the price doesn’t reflect quality. This is a cheap fountain but if material were better I suspect Frontgate would double the price to increase their profit margin. This is a poor quality product that will end up in the garbage a few years down the road. Poor Mother Earth and subsequent climate change from all the fossil fuels used to create this in some Chinese factory and then shipped halfway around the world only to be unleashed to an unassuming consumer that will be suckered into accepting the lackluster quality only to hear a subpar water feature. Run away from this water fountain.

Where are the suction cups supposed to adhere? Do you have to take the top off in order to adjust the water flow, or is the gauge meant to be accessible from the small round hole?

Asked by: bliss23
Thank you for your interest in the Lotus Flower Fountain. The suction cups should adhere to the bottom of the reservoir. To adjust the water flow the top will need to be removed.

how do I clean my lotus flower fountain? As in wiping out the pods, etc?

Asked by: George3
Thank you for your interest in the Lotus Flower Fountain. Here are some helpful tips in cleaning your fountain and keeping it clean: MOVE YOUR FOUNTAIN TO THE SHADE: · Sun helps algae grow. Keep your fountain in a shaded area and white scale growth will slow down. CHANGE YOUR FOUNTAIN’S WATER AT LEAST EVERY MONTH: · Change your fountain's water at least every month (Use distilled water rather than tap or spring water so you don't stain them with minerals.)t MAKE SURE THE PUMP IS SUBMERGED IN WATER: · The pump cannot function unless it is entirely underwater. It's common to have to add water to your fountain for the first several days after you own it in order to ensure that the pump stays submerged. CLEAN YOUR FOUNTAIN AT LEAST EVERY 2 MONTHS: • Turn off the pump and drain the fountain before cleaning. · Go over the fountain with a terry cloth or old toothbrush to gently scrape off algae and other organic matter. Please keep in mind that the finish on this fountain is painted on and the material is not actually that color. • It’s suggested to clean fountain tubes with a pipe cleaner. TO ENSURE THAT THE ALGAE GROWTH SLOWS DOWN: · Try adding about a quarter cup to half a cup of white vinegar to the water in the fountain to slow down the algae growth. It will not prevent it from growing completely, but it is a safe alternative and also child/pet friendly! OTHER HELPFUL TIPS: CLEAN YOUR WATER PUMP · The pump is responsible for cycling water through the fountain, reducing algae's ability to grow. Scrub the pump's parts with a sponge or toothbrush. If you need to open the pump in order to get at interior parts. Flush the water pump out with CLR to remove any calcium deposits from the pump and clean it out with mild soap and water as there may be algae or algae spores.

Where is the switch folks are talking about? Also, is it ok to leave the water flowing day and night?

Asked by: Nimo
Thank you for your interest in the Lotus Flower Fountain. In the included instructions it refers to "turning the switch on"; this refers to plugging the power cord in. This fountain can be left running; however, you will need to periodically check to ensure the water level is still covering the pump and bring the pump indoors during freezing temperatures.

Can you leave the switch to on and plug it into a timer? I assume you can but I want to make sure it does t cause any unseen issues.

Asked by: kathyinseattle
Thank you for your interest in the Lotus Fountain. We do not recommend leaving the switch turned to on and plugging this in to a timer.
