Luxury Featherbed is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never to old for Grandma’s old featherbed I purchased this exact luxury featherbed about 12-15 years ago, loved it then and it just recently started loosing its feathers and we got tired of getting stuck with the quills. I went back to Frontgate and ordered the exact same featherbed and hopefully will get another 10-12 years of loving to crawl in that big bed every night. I absolutely love it.. Thanks Frontgate

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy feather bed! Very soft and cozy. One little problem is hard feathers sticking through sheet. Maybe I’ll get thicker sheets!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed If you like waking up to feather quills sticking you while asleep, poking through bottom sheet fine, but not for me. Tried Adding an extra bottom sheet but the feathers still poked through.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved it until.. I really do like this a lot. And I do know it's feathers. I just with those feathers didn't work their way out to pick me. After using this a few weeks, I thought this problem would stop. Oh, well. It's comfortable and thick and not at all soft and mushy

Does the featherbed make your bed hot when sleeping?

Asked by: Sallyscratcher
We had some reservations that it might add warmth to the bed while sleeping but we haven't found that to be the case. If there is the slightest warmth it is totally overcome by the comfort of the featherbed.

Is the featherbed dry clean only? Do fitted sheets fit over the featherbed?

Asked by: comfysleeping
Yes, most fitted sheets for deep mattresses fit over the featherbeds. FEATHERBED CARE & CLEANING: I recommend a featherbed cover with a high thread count and tight weave, to keep it clean. I use an anti-dustmite polyurethane-backed mattress cover, made like a fitted sheet, that goes over the featherbed & mattress. The fitted sheet goes on top of that. Nothing gets through polyurethane, even liquid, so the featherbed doesn't get dirty. The polyurethane-backed mattress cover is machine wash/dry. It doesn't diminish the featherbed feel, because the polyurethane is super thin, bonded to a thin cotton terrycloth top. To kill dustmites & freshen, put the featherbed outside in the sun, or, run it on a high-heat dryer cycle (I do this with my pillows). Spot clean stains. I use Febreeze Anti-Microbial spray on both sides of the featherbed, when I wash the sheets. Give it a good shake to refluff and rotate it for more even wear. Using these techniques, I haven't had to launder a featherbed. If I did, I would wash & dry it in commercial machines. I would not subject it to dry-cleaning chemicals. Check the label for manufacturer's cleaning instructions. Hope that helps!
