What is the material underneath the rug? I am considering using this in a bedroom, low traffic area and was curious if I really need a rug pad.

I am trying to decide color.. if you answered that the champagne color is light, almost pearl, how white is the pearl color rug?. I am not looking for white yet. It for tan either.

How long is this shag and is it more than one texture?
Also is the champagne color as dark as the picture or is it more of a beige cream color?
It's shaggy and it is light in color, pearl coloring.

Nice thick rug and perfect size
This is a hard-to find size and I'm pleased with how it looks. very cozy looking. I needed to purchase the thicker pad to go under it as in bare feet it did not feel as soft and shaggy. We could feel the fiber mesh under our feet. the pad made a difference

Not what I was hoping for
I bought the rug to put on my tile floor next to my bed so I could step onto something soft and warm in the morning. Because the rug was thin I could feel the ribbing on my feet which made it uncomfortable. I had to return it.

Like it but had allergic reaction
I loved the color, look, and softness of this rug but I had to return it because I had an allergic reaction to the shag. Ended up getting a wool rug instead.

Rug gets matted
I clearly did not read the reviews regarding this rug. The areas in front of the sofa, and chair are matted. I have combed and raked it and it looks like the other photo in a previous review. Quite an expensive lesson. So it’s going into a spare bedroom where the matted spots won’t show under the bed. It was soft and beautiful, but it looks quite awful now.

Failed after 13 months
Do NOT place this rug where anyone might actually use it. It starts out beautiful but just the presence of my feet on the rug has ruined it beyond restoration. The 2’ x 3’ area in front of my spot on the couch looks like an old rag mop. Carpet cleaners have told me this is irreversible And Product Support said it’s out of warranty and even if it were it’s not defective.

If you love to vacuum
This carpet is beautiful... Unfortunately it sheds nonstop. Right after you vacuum, the room looks gorgeous. Two days later, your whole house looks a mess because the fibers have somehow managed to reach every room in your house. I was vacuuming three times a week to keep up with this miserable rug. The worst part is that my dogs were swallowing the fibers and I had to pull feces-laced fibers out of their anuses daily.
A million little fibers. Good riddance!
