Fun addition to our patio!
Love this bed! Super comfy and roomy, and looks great. Only heads up is that b/c of the four hooks, it can tend to swing a little sideways, so if you get motion sickness, it may not be for you! I do get a little dizzy, but still enjoy relaxing on it.

Best item purchased from Frontgate so far.
I have purchased many items from the Frontgate, but definitely this has been the best of all! Couldn’t have been more pleased with the purchase. Quality and comfort totally worth the price, the design and the looks unmatched. Haven’t seen anything like this with curved, soft looking design elsewhere. This day bed has made our evenings with whole family even more enjoyable. My teenage kids now prefer to study outside on this daybed! Very sturdy, definitely needs professional installation as per the recommendation. Really looking forward to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets for many years to come, living in at home resort.

Beautiful Daybed
The bed is made very well. The brown texture also has a much nicer color than the picture as it is woven in two different tones. The peacock color pillows for it are just beautiful. I highly recommend.

Comfy Swing Bed
This swingbed is beautiful and well made. It’s comfy and cozy. We have had it a year and all of it still looks new. I love to read, nap or hang out with my 2 kids on it. Everyone gravitates to it and like the other reviewer said it’s a show stopper. Family and friends look at it in wonderment. We bought the peacock rain. It is worth the money for the rain function because it dries so quickly. If there’s a storm, it is bone dry by the next day. It’s quite unbelievable. My husband built a 10ft x 10ft structure for it away from our house and in the open. Still bone dry! We built a pool leading to it and stained the concrete. The peacock color goes perfectly with the water in the pool. It really accents it and I could not be more happy with it. It’s such a fun unique color. Add some pillows and you can’t go wrong. It makes our home feel like a resort. However, when hanging, it’s very IMPORTANT you allow for a foot difference because it will stretch that much. If you don’t do this, you will have to rehang it all over again.

Very comfortable
I bought this swong for under our deck at the beach.
Fabric is very soft and comfortable and it was easy to install. I read the reviews before purchasing and many stated that the ropes stretch s little when you sit on it.
Knowing that, we installed it a couple inches higher than we would what it when we sat on it. Now, it is the perfect height when it is on use.
Only thing I didn’t like is that there is no cover available for it.

Exotic, unique, comfortable
I have been looking for a swing to replace one we have had for sometime that hangs on our covered porch overlooking pool and intracoastal waterway.
This was the perfect choice not only for its exotic beauty but it is so comfortable and roomy you can sleep in it.
Very well made just like I would expect from Frontgate . It is the show piece of our tropical porch!

Love it! The only “but” is no instructions & not that one can’t hang it & adjust it according to individual ceiling heights but what to do with extra rope. Not advisable to cut off but how to finish off the excess hanging rope so it’s not just dangling. Would have been nice for instructions for tying ropes to secure the bed also. Have to figure out the best way accomplish that! With that being said time will tell how much if any slippage. It is unique & certainly well constructed. Looking forward to warm weather & lazy nites sleeping on it in our screened in porch.

does this item have to hang or can it sit directly on concrete floor? don't have the structure to hang it but love the low day bed design.

Are they planning to improve the hanging mechanism and instructions for this bed? I want it but the reviews are not too good.
Thank you for your interest in the Malia Hanging Daybed. Any known issues with this item have been addressed. However, the instructions are general hanging instructions because each persons rafters or pergola may be different and require a slightly different method to hang.

How to cover?
Love this swing, but I don't want to take it down over the winter. We live in a milder climate, but I'll still need to cover it for a couple of months. What do you recommend? I can't find a specific or universal cover that looks like it would work, but the listing details do mention covering it over the winter.

how would this daybed hold up in las vegas, nv
I am interested to know how this would hold up in las vegas sun...even though under cover it would have sun on in late afternoon
I have this swing on a covered porch in Florida that receives the afternoon sun and so far it is excellent. It is made of an outdoor wicker material so I am sure it would do well.

Is the Malia Hanging Daybed designed to withstand rain like most patio furniture?
