Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab Fire pit! Love this fire pit. It is exactly how stated and can't wait for the weather to turn to use it on a regular basis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty Not your flimsy cover like you usually get. This is thick and appears heavy duty. Our friends have had theirs for 3 years. No tears or holes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fair value on great product This spark guard replaced the one that was purchased with the fire pit almost 10 years ago. It lasted through many fires and great memories. The product works well in our application keeping us safe from embers. The value issue is that right after I purchased it, I received a Frontgate coupon for a discount 5% greater than my purchase price. That made me feel like I'd been violated a bit, especially as a long time loyal customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! This was exactly what we needed to protect our FG fire pit from the elements when we weren't using it. I thought about going cheaper from the big box store. However, the FG fire pits are bigger and better quality and getting the right size cover will make our pit last for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement Cover for Fire Pit I needed to get a replacement cover for my Frontgate fire pit as the prior cover was damaged in a hail storm. I was happy to see that the cover was still available. Frontgate shipped quickly and, of course, the cover fit perfectly and looks great.

Do both your Classic fire pit and the Roma fire pit have drain holes?

We will be setting the fire pit onto beautiful new slate patio and don't want ashes and icky black water to stain slate.
Asked by: Dinki
Thank you for your interest in the Roma Firepit with Medallion Steel Base. The bowl on this item and our Copper Fire Pit (28466) do have a drain hole that keeps rain from settling inside.

Any problems with rusting on the base?

Asked by: jlb002
Yes, we do have some rusting on the base, but it isn't bad. We've had our fire pit for years. We are going to spray it with black rust-oleum.

Does this firepit have a drain hole?

Asked by: Eugenia
It has several small drain holes. I found that the first few weeks leaving it uncovered though, the drain holes filled with yard debris and held water. I went ahead about bought the matching cover which fits perfectly and is very nice.

Can you use the firepit on a wooden deck?

Asked by: tricia47
We very carefully used a fire pit on the wooden deck of our old house but I bought a bunch of concrete pavers and put them down underneath and around the fire pit. I also used the garden hose and dampened the deck before each fire. You can do it but I felt like the constant vigilance wasn't worth it.

Can you use lava rocks or fire glass in this?
Asked by: Reinababes
Do not see why not. Copper is durable and no problem.
