Need the help
I have had one at home for the past 20 years and bought this for our new condo. As the eyes begin to fade, the magnification side is used more often for crucial eyeliner and lipstick applications.

Not as expected
The hard wiring is not as it seems. Forget the battery casing as it is impossible to get to when mounted. I can see that it would cause damage to your wall if you had to replace the batteries. Even when hard wired the adaptor has to sit in the casing with a black wire exposed so it is not a clean looking finish. They should have included a hard wire kit for the money.

Perfect for the Need & the Spot
Mirror works great; have used it several times for make-up and eliminating those unwanted facial hairs. Installation would have been a little easier if the drill bit size for the wall anchors was indicated in the directions. Am using the unit without the batteries, as I have an outlet nearby -- it is solidly on the wall without that extra weight.

Fantastic accessory for the bathroom
This mirror was a wise purchase. Great for applying make up or to see my face up close. Easy to mount and use. Love that it can either be AC or DC. Great to have an LED light surrounding the mirror. Like that the mirror can be extended and that it offers two sides, one regular and one magnified.

I bought a similar mirror from Frontgate a few years ago (except it plugs into the wall for the light) I love the mirror but the light will not work. . Any suggestions on getting this to work?

Where are the batteries placed in this mirror? Does the mirror have to be unmounted to access the batteries? Is it possible to use the adapter without hard wiring?

I put in new batteries only 3 weeks ago. Light was faded yesterday. When I plugged in ugly cord it was regular brightness. why?
