Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful & heavy! I purchased these to use on my deck with the flameless outdoor candles. They are beautiful and heavy enough that I do not worry about them blowing away in heavy wind. I am very pleased with the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Lanterns! I bought two of these- one to go on each side of the stoop of our wide steps. I must say, I was impressed with the weight and overall appearance of these lanterns. We did have one that arrived with a non-repairable defect (from the manufacturer), and Frontgate promptly responded by sending a replacement lantern with 2 day shipping. All we had to do was return the defective lantern to our nearby UPS store for return shipment. I do not have a photo to upload yet- since I am waiting on the replacement. But overall, we are very pleased with the lanterns. Please keep in mind- that the lanterns are made of cast aluminum, very durable in most areas- but salt water air is slightly "corrosive" to soft metals. That being said, if you reside near the ocean, coat with a good clear polyurethane - may need two coats, and they should last for many seasons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good The smaller lanterns arrived about 2 weeks ago and are sitting outdoors on the dining table. We've had two steady weeks of rain and they are still looking perfect. After reading reviews describing rusting I thought maybe I should bring them inside but they are fine. They are quite tall and I won't be able to have them on the table while dining. I will set them nearby-they are pretty heavy to hang on shepherds hooks but I'll come up with something...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sub Par Painted Finish Painted finish did not hold up at all.I Live in Florida and these are placed around my pool. They don't get a lot of direct sun. The finish started pealing off in less than a year. It would have been better if they came in the natural cast aluminum unfinished. In comparison, the painted finish on my outdoor furniture has held up for the past 8 years without issue. Its a very attractive lantern with a sub par paint finish.

I read all the reviews and only found one where anyone mentioned hanging these lanterns. Is the top of the lantern sturdy enough to support its weight over time?  I am interested in hanging the large size lanterns from hooks on some 10 ft brick pillars.

Asked by: Southern gal
I have the small lanterns and have had them hung up year round outside under a covered patio. I’ve had no problems. They’re beautiful and amazing quality!

Is the glass tempered or thermally toughened glass?

Asked by: BarbaraSanders
I would doubt it is nothing else but plain glass. The candles that I had in there were battery operated and one melted a little bit from the heat. So I don't think the glass is tempered
