If it’s stainless why can’t it be put in the dishwasher? Does it open enough for ice balls?
Thank you for your interest in the Optima Ice Tongs. This item is 100% stainless steel. However, we do not recommend washing this item in the dishwasher, soaking it in water, or using abrasive cleaners on it. These instructions are to maintain the finish. These tongs are able to accommodate most standard-sized ice cubes or ice balls.

Nice ice tongs.
These tongs are nice heavy quality and larger than expected. The only problem I have with them is they are not really flexible when squeezing together to pick up ice cubes.

It’s All in the details..
I purchased these as an add on to my Daughter’s and Son-in-law’s Christmas present. I had originally purchased the Optima ice bucket and scoop along with the cocktail shaker but could not help but complete their bar ware setup with these elegant tongs!

Optima 3 Gallon Beverage Dispenser
I was fortunate to purchase this stainless steel beverage dispenser prior to welcoming a group of ladies to my home. The beverage dispenser was the hit of the evening. It is beautifully manufactured, durable, and just the most attractive item I've added to my entertainment repertoire. I'm so thrilled with it that I plan to purchase the 14" platter with dome and the 17" platter and dome in the near future, as well as the square platter for passing hors'derves.I've recently bought 2 ice cube tongs from what is called "the Professional series." One for my own use, and one as a gift. I was impressed by my beautiful serving pieces, as were my guests.
