Original Mesh Zero-Gravity Recliner is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk These chairs were stored inside during fall, winter & spring. They only lasted outside for 2 summer seasons. By the end of the second season the arms on the chairs literally started to deteriorate, became rough and looked horrible. Not what I would expect from any outdoor chair especially for the expensive cost at Frontgate. Since I had the chairs for more than one year, Frontgate customer service only gave me a $20 dollar coupon for a future purchase. Gee...thanks Frontgate!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So disappointed... We needed to replace our two existing chairs again (ours only last a few years)...I thought wow, what a great deal. Turns out it wasn’t. We prefer the XL chairs, so now we have two new chairs that are not XL. Darn it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality We looked at Zero Gravity Recliners at several stores before ordering this chair. The Frontgate chair is a much higher quality chair. We replaced the original Zero Gravity Chairs we ordered from Frontgate 10 years ago which finally wore out. These chairs are very comfortable and sturdy and we expect they will last at least as long at our lake home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and comfort! I bought this chair a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I have a bad back so I have to be selective when purchasing items like this. Its nice looking as well. Some of the other chairs I was looking at weren’t as nice looking as this chair. Lastly, it’s sturdy construction. It’s an aluminum frame so it will last a long time. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall The chair seems very sturdy and well built. I'm not too worried about the rusting aspect because of the aluminum body and what appears to be stainless rings (I hope), but more for the cording and fabric in the blistering heat at the Jersey shore. Only time will tell as to the longevity and comfort. It is now Memorial day weekend and I will update the review as I see fit at the end of the season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting chair Takes a bit of practice to recline smoothly (i am slightly handicapped) but once in it is very comfy and allows by legs to elevate. Great for me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A very sturdy chair I had shopped around for a chair that would recline where my feet would be above my heart level. Most just reclined slightly off the ground. This one reclines well above other chairs and that's why I bought it. It is comfortable and very well made. The only reason I gave it four stars was because I would have liked a choice in colors. The mocha is fine but I would have preferred another color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable back yard chairs This is my third order of these chairs. While I have not used these new ones yet, the previous ones that I have owned have been very comfortable and stable. I use them for seating around my pool. They seem to last 3 - 4 years when left out in the elements all year in southern california. The arms do get rough - I refinished them to lengthen their life. And the seats start to deteriorate with lengthy exposure to the sun. I will be folding the new ones up for periods of time not in use to extend their lives.

Have you changed the arm rest material recently on the chairs, I have chairs that are a couple years old and the plastic arm rest have degraded due to the sun?

Asked by: Jerry 44
The original plastic arm rests degrade with time, discolor and are mark easily. My chairs were 4 years old when the rests started to degrade . I sanded them lightly, used newspaper and taped off the hand rests and sprayed them with Performix Plasti Dip Camo brown (4-5 coats 1/2 hour apart). They look like new and still do after 2 years. You can detach the arm rests to avoid the taping but it's a little more involved.

Are the rings that the bungee runs through also aluminum or stainless? This seems to be the first thing that rusts on other chairs.

Asked by: mattlis

Why is there no other color choices for this chair? I’m not a fan of brown.
