Ortho Sleeper Pet Bed is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to get out of While this may be an "ortho" bed marketed towards older dogs, it is very difficult for my senior dog to get out of. He has a hard time because he can't get leverage from the top pillow because it moves. So while this may be somewhat comfortable to lay on, I am afraid he will injure himself trying to get up from a laying down position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly luxurious dog bed! Wanted a dog bed that looked more like a nice piece of furniture. Bought one month ago for our senior dog. It looks wonderful in our great room and he took right to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bed for Big Dogs This bed actually is large enough to accomodate our large Greyhounds. If they are not stretched out, two of them could realistically fit in it. It's of good quality and the green color is a nice neutral. If undecided about the size, I think you could go with the smaller one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Assembly Ridiculous! I was very excited to receive this bed, only to be shocked that I had to assemble the whole thing! This was not indicated anywhere on the site or I wouldn't have selected it. Getting the huge bolsters into the small sides of the bed was ridiculous! I couldn't get the side and back bolsters to fit properly or the foam insert. This was my first Frontgate purchase and I'm extremely disappointed. Needless to say, this bed is going back and I doubt I'll be back again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ortho sleeper pet bed We just adopted two little dogs that have been together their entire 8 years. We tried separate beds but discovered they wanted to sleep next to each other. This has been the perfect bed for them. They have stopped coming in the middle of the night to get in our bed and it is the perfect size to fit both of them. They can stretch out or lay right next to each other. The quality is great, the best buy for out new little dogs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ortho Sleeper Pet Bed We got the XL for our 130 Lab. It is large so make sure you have plenty of space. That said he loves it!!! I am replacing his smaller bed at our office with another one as well. He probably could have fit comfortably on the large size but the XL definately gives hime plenty of room to stretch out. The material is nice and easy to shake off the dog hair.

Need dimensions

Hi I have an older dog with a knee injury. She needs an ortho style bed. However this bed does not give the dimensions such as height or depth. Can you please send me the full dimensions height, width, and length? Thanks. Brockslair
Asked by: Brockslair
The website provides the dimensions under the additional information tab. I originally had the XL bed for a larger 75 pound greyhound who couldn't bend his back leg. It was great for him to stretch out in but appears that it could accommodate two dogs, even large dogs. So when replacing that one, I ordered the Large, thinking it would certainly be big enough, it didn't come close to being large enough for the dog to stretch out, much less accommodating 2 dogs. The Large might be okay if they curled up a little. I returned for XL even if it takes up a lot of floor space. In the winter, my dog would get under the top mat and use it almost like a blanket. I wash the top mat all of the time.

Where can I get a replacement top cushion?

I've had this bed for over two years now and it held up great. An occasional wash and it looks like new again!...except for the top pillow which since it gets most of the wear and tear had become very worn and torn. I've tried generic cushions as a replacement but they never quite match.

I don't have this bed, but am considering purchasing at least two of them for my three puppies. However the beds I have now also are one piece beds with foam bolsters and a separate cushion that I purchased from Frontgate. These large puppies (56, 63 & 78 pounds) managed to destroy these beds in record time by bouncing on or jumping on top of each other on the beds which destroyed the inside cushion as it is stuffed with loose filling. It became very lumpy. They didn't seem to mind but I thought it had to be uncomfortable compared to how it was when it was new. I also realized this could happen when I ordered our present beds two years ago when we took them home but as I have 1100 square feet of tile in the rooms (open floor plan) these beds are in I wanted to ensure they did not hurt themselves and this type of bed worked well. A call to the manufacturer resolved this issue. I inquired if I could purchase a separate cushion and a new cover in the same color as my old beds and they were happy to comply. But I will say they needed to figure out what to charge me for the replacement as they do not routinely do this. On a separate occasion I have also contacted them to replace only the outer cover and they were amenable to sending one out for me. Neither request was inexpensive but it was worth it to me and certainly less expensive than buying a complete new bed, not to mention it is an environmentally sound decision. Good luck with your request should you decide to go this route.
