Outdoor Heated Doormat is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buffalo living We live in Buffalo, NY and I bought these mats bc my front porch ends up like an ice skating rink in the winter with the way the wind blows and freezes. Until I can settle on architect plans we bought the big mat and we were delightfully surprised! It actually worked! Kept the snow and ice at bay. I purchased the stair starter kit for this year too! Hope this is the last year we have to use these bc we are putting up an overhang next fall but these worked amazing. Even with mixed rain and snow the mat never shorted out. Great buy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Working in Northeast Today I had reviewed these mats last year and am updating today. I plugged the mats in yesterday in anticipation of a predicted snow event. Outdoor temperatures have been extremely cold, but I thought the mats should work regardless of that. I'm attaching a picture of my rear porch, taken approximately 2 hours after the snow has started. I've emailed the manufacturer for advice on why this may be happening. The mats don't seem to do well for us at all in ice. (Newly purchased stair mats on our front porch also seem to be having some trouble keeping up with the storm). After the storm passes, the mats may very well dry off, but I need them to work while the storm is in progress so I can take our pet outdoors when necessary. Today, I'm sorry to say, we're disappointed in this product. They only work for us in powdery snow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed luck Bought the 40x60 and 2 stair treads in January 2017. Used maybe two days. Just plugged them in to use and the large one did not heat up. The stairs do. Frontgate is allowing me to exchange since it hasn't been a year - so I'm hoping for better luck - they are expensive and should work for the price. Make sure you do not have any snow or ice under the mats prior to setting them up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Didn't Work in Heavy, Icy Storm Great mats and definitely excellent for most snowstorms; but, unfortunately, didn't perform well during an icy, heavy, wet snowfall today. Despite having plugged the mats in 24 hours prior to the storm so they would be warm, I had to shovel and brush the carpet-type mats and runner off several times during the storm to no avail. They were heavily coated with ice and snow and very slippery. I still like them very much since they worked very nicely during lighter snowfalls, and would definitely recommend; but, in our opinion, they do have limitations in their performance, as do all products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond Awesome & Quality Products We really love these. They work incredibly well and are very well made. We could not be happier for the solution for safe front door areas in the snow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product for the Winter. I have used the outdoor heated doormat and heated stair treads for a few years now on my side entrance and loved them so much I bought another set for my front entrance too! They are brilliant for keeping your stairs clear of snow, ice and safe for traffic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pricey but worth it I held off on buying these mats for years due to the price. Finally bit the bullet during a Black Friday sale and am so glad I did! My front entry gets very icy. These mats effectively keep my stairs and entry way clear of ice and snow. I placed them down and plugged them in prior to our first snowfall, but you can also lay them on top of existing snow and ice to facilitate melting. The doormat plugs in separately from the stair mats. The stair mats can be linked together. Very happy with this purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent article beautiful texture and drying mat.No melting snow at the sides: it evaporates nicely and around the mat the walkway stays dry. We bought two and inter-conncted them and it is luxury..

Can you connect two step mats to one door mat and only have the one power cord.

Asked by: mmm123
Thank you for your interest in the Outdoor Heated Mats. You can connect up to 15 Amps on a single power unit. Each walkway mat is 2.5 amps and each stair mat is 0.6 amps. So you can connect either 5 walkway mats, 15 stair mats, or any combination thereof.

Where can I find the snow sensor/controller?

Within the answer to 'how long mats can be left unattended', it refers to a snow sensor/controller and implies a source would be found on the webpage. However,I didn't see a link. Where can I find it?
Asked by: njmag
Thank you for your interest in the Outdoor Heated Doormat. The thermostat and snow sensor controller is mentioned in the instruction manual as an optional item; however, we do not carry this item. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
