Do you have to disconnect the pieces in order to place the protective covers on each piece or is there a way to put the covers on without having to undo the clips. Please advise.

Are the quick ship fabrics water and fade resistant? I noticed that they are not listed as a sunbrella product.
Thank you for your interest in the Palermo 5-pc. Modular Set in Bronze Finish. The quick ship cushions are 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric which is equivalent to Sunbrella they just don't have the Sunbrella brand name. These cushions are also water and fade resistant.

Can the cushion covers be washed in the wash machine? The zippers imply they can be removed- for what purpose if not to wash?

I need to reorder replacement cushions for a modular unit. The previous owner left cushions outside and an animal destroyed them. Size is 28 x 28 double piped. I want to replace them. The back cushions are 28 x 18. One corner cushion is 28 x 18.

Comfortable, sturdy and modular
Light and easy to move, yet feels very sturdy. We have used the furniture in many different combinations (truly living up to the "modular" name). The cushions are comfortable too! Perfect for movie night or taking an afternoon nap.

Great quality! Exactly what I expected.
Love it! It's the perfect size and color. It is fairly easy to clip the sections together. I've had it for about a month now and have lounged on it several evenings a week.

The whole experience was great!
We bought this set with the peacock white terry piping about a month ago. The whole experience with Frontgate was exceptional. From the order with Stacy (who remembered we asked for extra clips) to the J.B. Hunt delivery. The furniture sits in a small space outside our back door and it has given us an extra room. Because the fabric is Sunbrella we aren't worried about the sun. We have another set around our firepit that is at least 8 years old and still in great shape and colorfast. So thank you for exceptional quality and style!

Love the Palermo set!
Having just redone our patio, we ordered he Palermo 5 piece set along with two side sections and ottoman. I shopped locally at high end stores and nothing came close to the beauty and quality of the Palermo set.
The cushions are thick and firm but not uncomfortable. We added several throw pillows for extra cushion and back support. My whole family loves lounging on the sectional and could spend all day there.
Yes it is pricier than what you can find other places but you get what you pay for! The quality is worth the extra dollars.
Our porch is covered but it still gets sun and some rain. The cushions have held up very nicely.
One recommendation to Frontgate: Please add more clips to hold the pieces together.
Highly recommend this set. It's beautiful and the quality is second to none!

I have to admit, after reading some of the reviews I was worried I would not like my ottoman and boy was I wrong! I love it! I live in Florida where it rains all the time so I am taking care to make sure it does not get wet, but other than that I have it flush against the patio wall and I sit on it and lean against the wall and it is very comfortable! The cushion is not hard like some of the reviews mentioned and I found it to be so comfortable, I am going to buy another one and put them together to create a space to lay on them because they are that comfortable and sturdy!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this group! The quality is outstanding, the look is beautiful and the gracious size and comfort is NOTHING like the "stuff" you will find elsewhere. This purchase was part of a large outdoor redo for us and we could not be happier.

Never tips!
While I loved the idea of the slider table, I worried about the glass top, having grandkids. Thankfully, it hasn't been a problem. I also worried they might be able to tip it, but with the extra long weighted bars on the bottom that is not an issue. The height is perfect for drinks while lounging.

After looking at Frontgate's catalogs for about 5 years, we finally make the decision on the Palermo Modular set and are extremely satisfied with the classic look and the comfort. It's going to make entertaining so much easier and more fun.

Almost earned 5 Stars...
Overall, this is a great set. We used it all summer and really enjoyed it. My only beef was with the cushions. At the end of the season, I removed the covers to wash them. On the inside, there were lots of loose threads as the seams fray extremely easily. I washed them with the zippers closed, then air dried. When I opened the zippers to put the foam cores back in, there was a huge tangled mess of threads inside that I had to cut off first, which was very time consuming. I'm going to buy some fray stop and use it before I wash them next time. I wouldn't recommend the white cushions, they show EVERYTHING! I swept them off at least once a day.

Not happy with product with the price charged.
I love almost everything I have ever ordered from Frontgate EXCEPT this outdoor modular set. I got it on sale for 5,000$. Not worth it. Very dissatisfied. I was replacing a sectional I had got from Sam’s a few years ago. I eyed Frontgates’s sectional every outdoor catalog it was in and wished I had bought Frontgate’s. Sam’s was better. But I had already sold it to make room for Frontgate’s sectional. If I ever need one again I would definitely NOT buy this one again!

Center Chair Options
Every photo you show on your web site of the palermo seating configurations shows (3) center chairs, however when I tried to buy (3) you do not offer that option. I was told by multiple customer service agents that I had to purchase them as a set of (2). While I am happy with my furniture, I am not happy that you advertise one thing, but sell another.

We bought the Palermo sectional. We like the look and enjoy the layout. However, the connectors used to keep the sectional together break easy and, to date, I have not been able to find replacements. As a result, the sofa pulls apart and does not stay together. That is an issue.

good for ottoman not for lounge
The quality is good but I purchased according to the picture. It made it look like it turned the end of the sectional couch into a chaise lounge but it is actually too small and moves too much. I purchased with the nesting ottoman table so too many ottomans but if you are only looking for an ottoman it would be perfect

Palermo, how I hate thee... let me count the ways
I rarely write reviews, but as a dedicated Frontgate customer (long appreciate the quality), I felt compelled. We have had a Palermo sectional sofa for about 5 months now. I didn't like it when it arrived, and my contempt has only grown.
What I don't like:
- It is extremely lightweight - if you sit down, it moves. The sectional format makes this characteristic terrible - the pieces do not stay aligned at all.
- It comes with clips to keep the pieces together / aligned, but they are plastic and break easily - there were not enough of them to keep the pieces aligned side to side and front to back either (even before they broke).
- It is uncomfortable
- The cushions slide around on top of the frame (exacerbating the lack of alignment) and the cushion backs do not stay neatly in place
- The ottoman piece is just a hair shorter than the sofa pieces - does not look good
- The packaging and delivery experience was awful - we could not get the delivery company to agree to a time and day, just a day - after hours of negotiating through Frontgate, the resolution was that the delivery company would just come and dump the boxes off and we'd take our chances. There were so many boxes, so much Styrofoam.... giant pain all around.
If you are looking for one in bronze with the beige cushions and live in Florida, send me your info - I am ready to get rid of mine!!
We also have the giant chest for storage, it is more solid/heavy and is 'ok'. It gets really hot to the touch and is very difficult to open and close (you have to be strong). But compared to a plastic deck box, it is certainly preferable.
