Patina Copper Hose Pot is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Hose Pot! The Pot is heavy duty and stays still when I pull out 100 feet of hose! Looks great and easy to clean out any debris with my lawn blower!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Real Copper Just received this and the patina on the copper is actually a horrible bright green paint. The description says it has a patina, but the patina looks nothing like the picture in the catalog. I would prefer the pot with no patina at all and let it age naturally. I am taking the suggestion of someone else and removing the paint with paint/laquer thinner. My husband started to remove the paint today and it's beautiful without the green paint, but time consuming. Purchased it because it's solid copper. The green paint cheapens the look. Worth it? Not sure. Unless you like green paint and not a natural patina on copper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Arrived damaged This looks nothing like the online photo in regards to the patina! Ours arrived with the center column removed from the bottom. Not even sure how it was soldered to the bottom. The copper pot itself is very nice but the patina is literally painted on lime green with paint runs and all. We might have kept it if it wasn't broken. Disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Once You Remove the Paint and Refinish The reviews about the hose pot being painted a fluorescent green are true. It comes with that fake patina that's way too bright and way too lime green. I removed the paint with some mineral spirits (it took a bit of time and elbow grease) then sprayed the entire pot with a mixture of vinegar and salt water. It put a nice, immediate patina on the pot until weather and time take over and really do the job. Looks great, worth the effort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like the copper hose pot but the green color is not as it appears in the photo and is actually an unattractive bright green. We are keeping it because at least it will neaten up the hose storage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok The patina finish looks bright almost lime green. Hoping it turns to look like real patina :{I have two others I. Ought years ago that looked like real patina out of the box so I’m a little concerned. Not cheep!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solidly Built I like the look of the hose pot. It’s well built and attractive in my landscape.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Day-Glo Acid Apple "verdigris" OK people... The pot itself is fine. The painted copper effect is fine. BUT the Day-Glo Acid Apple "verdigris" highlights are just awful. It's so bright and light--it was jarring. I bet it will glow beautifully in the full moon, but not exactly the effect for which I was trying to establish to finalize my English garden. I'd rather not deal with returns and I do really like the pot--so being the crafty person I am, I'm going to use some outdoor spray paint and artistically re-age this pot so it won't scare away all the garden fauna.

I like the pot but  am concerned about the lime green paint that is being put on for patina. Can I buy one without that and apply my own patina paint? Also what is the width of the pot?

Asked by: Pepper45
Thank you for your interest in the Patina Copper Hose Pot. This is made of 100% copper and the finish is a hand-applied patina finish not green paint. We do not recommend painting this item yourself as it could void the warranty. The Medium size is 18-1/2" dia., and the Large size is 20" dia.

how do you wind the hose into the pot?

Asked by: del1
Thank you for your interest in the Patina Copper Hose Pot. You put the end of the hose through the exit hole for connecting hose to spigot; then, simply wrap the rest of the hose around the hose guide.

What is the size of the opening/hole for the hose? My hose is 1" in diameter and the brass fitting on the end that screws to the spigot probably adds another 1/2 inch.

Asked by: JSSQH
