Could be ceramic!
These melamine dishes are AMAZING! I love melamine in general as a summer, outside dishware option and was looking for something for our new beach home. The quality of these dishes is amazing as they are heavier and more substantial than traditional melamine you'd find at a department store.

Excellent quality
Excellent quality! Dishwasher safe which my husband likes. Good weight to them. Not thin and flimsy like other melamine plates.
