Shockingly cheap towels
I made the mistake of splurging for 8 of these towels at a price of $39 each. I should have returned them right away when I saw how flimsy they were, but I hoped they would at least serve their function. No such luck... it is impossible to get dry with these towels, as they have no absorbency. And after only a couple of months of use, they are fraying and look like ten year old towels. We have less expensive towels from Pendleton and Lands End that are the first ones everyone grabs for the pool or beach. Huge disappointment to pay Rolls Royce prices for a Yugo. I can't believe Frontgate would put their name on these.

Take me to the beach
This beach towel is a great size and the colors are vibrant. I love that it is big enough to wrap around you and it completely covers the lounge chair that I take to the beach with plenty to spare. It has put up with multiple washes in hot water without any signs of wear. Since purchasing my first resort beach towel, I have gone back to Frontgate to purchase additional towels to replace my smaller, thinner pool towels. These are perfect.

Top Notch Beach Towels

Not What I Expected Marginal Quality
Quality and thickness of towels were much less than I expected. Each towel had pulled threads.

Why are these towels so much thinner than the Resort collection towels?
Ideally, pool and beach towels should be thinner so they dry faster when you hang them on a chaise or back of a chair. The quality of these is top notch compared to other pool/beach towels. Our friends are envious of our vibrant blue monogrammed Frontgate beach towels. I am actually going to purchase a monogrammed set for a wedding gift.

I purchased the blue towels, and wonder if I need to wash them before using on the chaise lounges. Could the color transfer?
I washed my blue beach towels twice in colder water with a gentle NON-BLEACH detergent. I am glad I did, because they will fuzz the first few washes. We use them for our backyard pool. We have had ours for 6 years and they still look amazing.

Am I missing something here? The resort beach towels that I just received are *nothing* like my resort bath towels! I thought they were the same. Much thinner! Very disappointing!
