Are the pods interchangable, or does the candle keep the scent of only one fragarance?

Thank you for your interest in the Scented Dream Candle. The fragrance pods can be replaced with a fragrance pod of with a different scent.

Please explain how this candle operates as a diffuser. I would like to use my own essential oils, is this possible?

Thank you for your interest in the Scented Dream Candle. To use as a diffuser insert the included fragrance pod into bottom of candle and turn on. Extra pods are sold separately; see our Scented Dream Candle Diffusing Pod (156356). This candle only works with Luminara Fragrance pods.
