Tamil Sisal Indoor Area Rug is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice rug but not what I was looking for Nice rug if you're looking for a large chunky weave. I was planning on placing a smaller Aubusson rug on top of this rug in my formal living room. I was wanting a tight, small weave (which I think is more formal looking) and this one is VERY chunky (which is hard to tell from the photo). The rug is mailed directly from the manufacturer and the description on the packing slip actually refers to it as chunky. I wish that Frontgate described it that way because I ended up sending it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tamil Sisal Indoor Area Rug I use these rugs in my entry and hall way. I have found them to be very attractive and of good quality. After several months they seem to be quite durable and they are very easy to vacuum. All in all... a very good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful rug This rug has a lot of texture. The best part is that I can't even tell if my golden retriever's hair sticks to it or not! It does have a peachy-orange thread that is a minor component to the color. I wasn't sure when I first opened the package, but when I set it next to my couch, which has a little bit of orange-red in it, it looks great. The tape on the edges is more of a brown than natural. Really nice rug and it's been in a high traffic area for a few weeks now and I can't see any wear at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tamil Sisal Indoor Area Rug it is a good quality but it has a very rough texture so I would only use it for a door mat or use it out side on a patio maybe

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tamil Sisal Rug I'm very pleased with this rug. The color is a rich chocolaty brown, the texture is very nice. It lays flat and seems to be well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new rug! We bought the Tamil Sisal indoor area rug for our new home. It looks perfect in our sunroom! The color was exactly as expected. It probably would be better in an area not leading to the outdoors as it got a little wet and took several days to dry. Otherwise it's perfect.

How do you clean this rug?

Asked by: randsroth
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. In reference to your question, it is recommended to use a vacuum without a beater bar regularly to maintain the appearance. For spot cleaning, it is recommended to blot the spill up and use a mild soap only when necessary for harsh spills. Also, immediately dry with a fan or hair dryer when using the mild soap option after the spill is cleaned up to maintain the natural fiber finish of the Sisal rug.

The description said the natural fibers of the rug "keep" it in place. Does this specific rug require a pad underneath to protect hardwood floors?

Asked by: Roseanne1151
We appreciate your interest in this item. This rug features a natural latex backing which adds durability and holds the rug in place, which would not make a rug pad necessary for security or protection purposes.

Will theTamil Sisal Rug work in dining room?

The ad says its a durable accent piece for a room. Will it hold up in a dining room, especially with chairs being pulled out and in and food being dropped on it? Or can you suggest a different type of rug?
Asked by: jennamei
The Tamil Sisal Indoor Area Rug could be used in a dining room. The fibers are stain resistant, and the latex backing adds durability and holds the rug in place. To clean the rug of food particles, we would recommend spot cleaning with mild detergent and water. The rug can be vaccumed with suction, but not the beater bar.
