Telescoping Ornament Keeper with Adjustable Trays is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toss the individual boxes! This speeds up the decorating and I decorating process. Previous I had used each ornaments originally box. Telescope feature is nice and appreciated the wheels. It would be nice if the top flap had some rigidity in case some one other than me unknowingly places a box on top of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive nonfunctional features Based upon reviews, I bought 4 of these ornament keepers for my 300 plus 4" and larger Versailles ornaments, collection of hanging jewels, and tassels. I am beyond disappointed. The quality is excellent. The bag looks great. The positives end there. What's the point of investing in looking great and being well made if the functionality of the features is sorely lacking? The telescoping is a useless hazard to fragile ornaments if a tray falls off the precarious attachment. And if you manage to telescope the trays, there is not enough room between them to see the ornaments let alone reach in to pull one out without knocking into the tray above and dislodging it from the handle. Not to mention, you have to adjust the sliding rods to get the ornaments out of each tray. The attachment feature for each tray is ridiculously insecure and an annoying nuisance. To adjust the wire grid each time I place an ornament into it or pull them out is nothing short of tedious for over 300 ornaments. And the fabric! The fabric sticks to the beautifully decorated Versailles ornaments and pulls off glitter and snags jewels. The fabric has to be pulled, tugged, adjusted, scrunched, and relocated in order to adjust the sliding bars and have enough fabric in the compartments to fit the last few ornaments into the tray. I bought this keeper because it was supposed to fit 4" oversize ornaments. I certainly didn't want to have to play with the adjustment rods back and forth plus the fabric in order to fit each and every one of 300 plus 4" ornaments. To close the bag and zip up, the trays end up resting on top of each other with varying pressure on the ornaments below. I am concerned about opening up the 4 storage units next year to find my beautiful ornaments at the lower levels broken or damaged. It's heavy once full. The wheels don't swivel so it is difficult to maneuver around turns and juggle into a closet. This is an example of an extremely over worked, expensive design that is not all that it could be in user friendly functions given the price. The trays should be reconfigured so that 4" ornaments fit without all the fiddling with sliding rods that can stick, fall off the bars, or accidentally jamb into an ornament and break it, and without tugging at sticky fabric. These ornament trays should be securely and easily stacked with enough space between trays so that ornaments above are not touching or putting pressure on ornaments below. The construction needs to be lighter. I love my Frontgate Versailles and additional gorgeous ornaments. Our new Frontgate tree was fully loaded with beautiful Frontgate ornaments and absolutely stunning this year. There needs to be an ornament keeper for these beautiful, oversize ornaments that is easier to use. I would much prefer a smooth-fabric covered-stiff foam-adjustable divider similar in design to another manufacturer's adjustable ornament storage. Their interior storage container is a great, functional design but is only for 3" ornaments. I was so full of hope for these 4 Frontgate storage bags and am just terribly disappointed in the awkward, poorly functioning user features. This purchase was a big, disappointing expense for storage units that I already want to replace. If you have smaller ornaments, or a much smaller quantity of ornaments, one of these cases might be workable. However, I am still in the market for a better storage solution for my large quantity of 4" ornaments!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Storage for Christmas Ornaments Safely able to store various sizes of ornaments in a unique shelving design. Wheels make it easy to move when it's fully loaded. And it looks very professional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frontgate Is Always Superior This product is far superior to anything on the market. I received it as a gift and love it. However, when I took it upstairs, I knocked it on the stairs and broke one of the wheels. So, I may suggest another type of wheel but that would be it. I am always a satisfied customer of Frontage's!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from best ornament organizer out there NIcely designed. Great size. The adjustable compartments are handy and the abundant cloth buffering allows protection that shifts with the size of the compartment. One design feature that I wish had been maintained from an older version is the flip-over cover for each of the 4 trays.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeper Okay - Not as good as previous version This ornament keeper is okay. This is the 2nd one we purchased. The previous one appears to provide more protection for the ornaments. I would prefer to have a better handle on the outside to move the unit zipped closed and covers on the trays would be great too. (Our earlier model doesn't have the covers.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Like This Ornament Keeper! I've got a lot on this one, so bear with me. This is my second telescoping ornament keeper. My first one was their original which does not have adjustable ornament placement. The first one, which is no longer available, is very good for other ornaments not sold by Frontgate that are "normal" sized. This one is wonderful for Frontgate over-sized / different sized ornaments. The adjustable placement is really nice but does take some creativity. Sometimes you're making room for an ornament based on moving the cloth around. Other times it can be done by sliding the metal bar a bit. You can also secure the ornaments in place more protectively by sliding the metal back to its original placement. It's made well so the manipulating of these two ways of doing it is fairly easy, hence why there is no instruction on how to do it. It can hold 80 regular sized ornaments. Or around 60 of Frontgate's ornaments. Which is what I had suspected, ordered it hoping that was right and it is. But again, it does entail using some creativity when selecting what ornaments are going near one another. Of the 4 drawers, some have more ornaments in them than others. I do still have room to put smaller ornaments in the Keeper along with the existing 60 should I need or want to do so. One thing I DO NOT LIKE as well about this one as the earlier one that was not adjustable is that there is no protective lid over each of the four drawers. That makes me nervous and means that if somehow it is toppled or handled without great care, in a move for instance, minimally the ornaments on the top shelf stand a high likelihood of breaking. So what I did was cut off four of the flaps from the shipping box it came in and put one over each drawer. I didn't love doing that but it makes me feel a bit better. Another oddity about the design of this thing is, as the picture indicates, once the telescope is as far up as it can get, you can attach the drawers to it. You have to take the drawers off of the telescope when closing it up for storage. Attaching the drawers is not very secure. It would not take much of a bump to it to cause the drawer to come off, sending it and the ornaments it contains smashing to the ground. Another thing is that you can only see the ornaments on the top shelf. It is inconvenient to reach in to try to pull an ornament out of the attached three shelves below it. This was the case with the earlier version as well. I don't understand the purpose of it at all. Nonetheless, I love it for everything else about it. It is highly functional and a nice safe place to store the ornaments, thus alleviating all those boxes and tissue paper to unwrap every year.

I have bought traditional red and green 60-piece ornament collection (item 158543). I wish to know whether I can store this entire large ornament set (4"-8") in this item#148424 telescoping ornament keeper with adjustable trays? Thank you!

Asked by: ChoLea Tso
Thank you for your interest in the Telescoping Ornament Keeper with Adjustable Trays. This item is shown with one of our previous 60 piece ornament collections. However, this season's Traditional Red & Green 60-piece Ornament Collection (158543) has more unique shaped ornaments then the collection shown. Most, if not all, of your collection should fit in one Telescoping Ornament Keeper.

What protects the ornaments on the top from getting broken?

Asked by: missesb
I usually put some tissue paper or bubble wrap on top of the top tray. I've had one of these for 4 years and haven't had any breakage. I also put the tree skirt in between the lower trays without an issues. Just be careful when unloading the trays.
