Substantial piece with a European flare!
This is a beautiful piece - a nice blend of metals and marble - very unique look that goes with most styles.

The overall style and construction of the sideboard is unique and beautiful. However it has an intense offensive odor. I believe it is the paint on the black metal bottom. I have been opening the drawers and doors daily to try to get rid of the smell. It’s been two weeks and it still noticeable!

Problematic built in outlet, otherwise nice
This is a substantial piece of furniture, and is so heavy I can barely slide it a couple inches across the floor. I love it, except for this outlet that they built into it that is so incredibly poorly conceived. It is built into the back of the right top shelf so that things can be plugged into the back of the cabinet. It has two standard plugs and two old style USB plugs, so it's already out-dated. The back of the plug and the power cord are inside the cabinet and there are cut outs in the shelf and in the bottom of the cabinet so you can run this power cord out of the cabinet to plug in the outlet. It is attached in such a way that it can't be turned around so the plugs face into the cabinet. So basically, there is an outlet about a foot down on the back side of a cabinet that I can barely use. If you plug in anything to this outlet, you have to move the cabinet farther away from the wall and leave about a 2 inch gap behind it, which is not very functional. Perhaps if you have some old style USB devices this could be useful, but when they're not plugged in, the cord falls behind the cabinet where you can't get it out again without some serious work. So this outlet is useless. Even if I managed to uninstall it and turn it around so that I can plug things in inside the cabinet, the outlet box and plug would stick out about 3 inches out the back, so I wouldn't be able to put the cabinet against the wall properly. Basically, I have a bunch of holes in my very expensive cabinet that serve no purpose other than to irritate me with their extremely poorly thought out design. If it wasn't so expensive to return this cabinet then I would out of sheer irritation. I tried to post pictures but this site's photo requirements are not mac compatible.
