Charming style- not functional
This little match strike is charming, but cannot actually be used to strike a match. Keep your matchbox handy and this makes a sweet item for display. Mine took six full months to arrive, but I was appreciative of the many status communications I received during that time to keep me updated. Great job Frontgate team!

the matches don't light when using the pink strike area and if you try and use it to strike the match (which doesn't work to light the flame)the pink areas starts to fade

This product does not work.
Do not like it. It doesn’t work and needs specific matches to work with it. But even those matches do not light easily. You need a separate strike instead of being able to just use the base as this was advertised.

A window to the past.
A beautiful piece that complements my fireplace. The fine white porcelain, the sharp detail and the dual nature as both a functional piece as well as a conversation starter make this piece a winner. I love the connection to the past that this piece brings - the opportunity to think of cafes many years ago and pieces like this adorning each table. A little bit of the magic of those days has been brought in to my living room.
