Two questions: 1) are these for indoor stairs, and 2) how do you attach them to the steps

Are these for outdoor use? I want to use them on outdoor deck stairs that are totally exposed to weather....rain, wind, snow, ice etc.

Do these work with outdoor stairs? The stairs leading up to our front door are made of concrete and are uncovered. There isn't a landing at the top for a door mat, and we're looking for something mat-like to go on each tread leading up to the front door.

Great but needed to add to the tread to make them
I love these treads. I did have to purchase double sided sticky tape with velcro tabs to stabilize each tread. Frontage should look into these treads as they do slip and are not truly secure when placed on a wood surface indoors.

Attractive and functional
These stair runners were exactly what I needed for the steps to my porch! They're perfect for providing a non-slip surface for my elderly dog (and elderly me, lol) to get up and down the stairs without mishaps, and they are enormously attractive. Worth every penny...
