at the beach in SC. LOTS of sand, water and mud. and lots and lots of rain. Will this work well at the front exterior door. I can have a hgher pile as there is a small threshold step into foyer.

Where does all that water go?
I bought a small size of the Water and Dirt Shield for our screened porch in Florida. It gets rain as well as water and dirt from our yard shoes, and I don't know where it all goes! Even when the mat is wet, we can still clean our shoes. It dries quickly when I put it in the sun. It is not thick, and the edges curve down, making it safer and not a trip hazard. Our dark charcoal mat is attractive, too. It is very functional for us.

Don't fall -- stay standing!
This is the second water/dirt shield rug I have purchased and am very pleased with both -- especially the non-skid back side that will help prevent falls. After all, I'm not a very graceful "Bambi on Ice"!

A standout
These are the best mats. Comes in many colors and patterns. Stops most dirt and stones from entering my home. I have these mats at every door of my home. Unfortunately limited on sizes. The ones i do have came very quickly. Frontgate has updated their website making it easier to navigate and checkout. Making them standout in the luxury market. Nothing from Frontgate has never been bad or disappointing. A wonderful website.
