Unique, high quality basket
Beautiful alternative to a wicker basket. Very well made and sturdy. I love the heftier metal lid. I am already planning to buy another size

Gorgeous - hope the lid will eventually fit
I've been ogling this basket for a long time and finally purchased the large, grey one when it was on sale with free shipping. It arrived seemingly well-packaged but when we pulled it out of the box, the top of the basket was smashed to a slightly oval shape therefore the lid does not sit down evenly. We gently tried pushing the top of the basket in the direction of a circle but to no avail. The lid completes the look of the basket so unless the basket relaxes to a circular shape at the top, the lid will always sit unevenly. All of this said, the basket is gorgeous and larger than expected. The brass lid contrasts beautifully against the dark charcoal color of the basket. It can be a functional piece but I bought it for sheer aesthetics and will display in my new house as a decor piece.

Stylish and Functional Basket
Beautiful basket, incredibly stylish. I purchased basket to keep by my door to store outside shoes. My only reason for not giving the item 5 stars is that I wish the interior had been lined.
