Beautiful non slip mats!
We have ordered three of these with our name on them. They look and feel great! They do have a rubbery smell that takes a long time to dissipate. Will try putting them out in the sun to see if that helps. These are also great at keeping our dogs from slipping on the hard wood! Love them!

Love this mat!!! I get water on it all the time and sometimes red wine. I just take it outside and hose it off and it comes clean with water. I have beautiful hickory solid floors and have never had any leakage of water through the mat nor did it smell when it arrived. It is the best kitchen mat I have ever owned for the past 30 years. Please never stop selling this mat!!! I am buying them for presents for family n friends.

Beautiful Comfort
This mat is so nice in my "wine" themed kitchen. It is soft on the feet and pretty, (and the personalization is great). I know it can be washed, but it's large, so I hope my washing machine can handle it. The color is light, but so far, after about a month, there are no stains and it still looks great, (and we do a lot of cooking in my house).

This mat is well done. I have had it for two months and it is very lovely.
Name is well printed on it & it does not seem to be an " added on" thing.
Mat feels nice under feet but it is not as cushiony as the the excellent " anti - fatigue" mats sold in Frontgate.

Simple, Chic Yet Functional Style
I just moved into a new house in a California wine region. I was finding the stone floors in my kitchen very hard and my back was bothering me. I remembered seeing this in a catalog and ordered one to try out in front of my stove. I love it! The comfort mat was delivered as promised about 10 days after purchase which is especially great considering that it is personalized. I like things to be simple, chic and functional and when they can add a bit of personalized style so much the better. This product hits on all counts! It is a little less "squishy" and bouncy than others I've seen but it has relieved my lower back pain...and makes me smile. The 'wine cork' color blends well with my ivory stone flooring, sage gray cabinets and sisal rugs that are nearby. It would look great on almost any warm toned wood floor.

Are the edges tapered?
Are the edges tapered so that one does not catch a toe on the edge and trip or cause the edge to roll up? Is this mat ADA compatible...ie: is one able to easily roll a wheelchair over the edge?
The edges are not tapered like others I've seen although the corners are rounded, not square. I would think the fact that it is not tapered would disqualify it from being ADA compliant. I can't determine if a wheelchair would roll smoothly but the mat is about 1/4" thick, thicker than most yoga mats for example, and the rubber is more dense rather than being squishy. Are these mats really machine washable? Are they machine dryable? How long would thy last if washed in the machine? Would tha back crumble off?
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The Wine Comfort Mats are machine washable. We do not recommend machine drying. To help reduce drying time, you can run a second spin cycle on the mat to remove more water. The mat can then be laid flat to air dry.

noxious odor
My family has purchased a total of 5 of these mats for 3 different houses. We think that they are very attractive and comfortable to stand on. However, they all exude a horrible odor. My daughter and son (in separate houses) begin coughing whenever they enter the room. We have tried hanging them outside to air outside to no avail. Do you have any idea of what chemical is producing this odor and how it can be removed. With 7 small children exposed to these mats we are very concerned. If there is no way to get rid of this, please advise as to the procedure for returning these mats.
I also own the black bistro mat, which had a chemical smell initially, but that dissipated in a few days.
