perfect fit
We have a front door step with some features that need to be hidden. Because of this it's hard to find a mat the right size. After a significant amount of research online I decided on this one. Great quality, fair price compared to all the others I looked at. The ONLY complaint is the color is more brown in the photo and in real life it is brown, but a slight orange hue to it - not huge, but probably would have bought black if I'd have known this. If that's my only complaint on a mat purchased online it's not too bad.

Front door Mat
I expected higher quality from Frontgate - it was thin and something I could have picked up at the local hardware store. We had plans for it to be our front door mat but it was relegated to the shed. For cost I should have returned it.

We have to replace door mats we got from you. When it rains they just get wet and stay wet. We bought an outdoor door mat. My question on this product is that can it be used in MI throughout the year. Will it dry out decently when it is wet. Durable?

Does this contain natural rubber or latex?

Can this mat be used for outdoor covered front entry. Will high humidity and rain in South Florida summers be an issue for this mat?

Is this a low profile rug? I have a problem with existing rugs for front entrance-way.
I need something to protect the floor in my front entrance-way that's low enough to clear the front door. Most other rugs tend to catch on the underside of the front door(s), when opening them fully (making it necessary for me to pull the rug back a bit so the front door can be opened fully). I need to use the rug for guests to leave their shoes or boots on.
If that's not bad enough . . . The front hallway is fairly deep, and I also have a large oriental (wool) rug that sits underneath a large wooden table and mirror in front of the entrance doors. The space between the entrance and the oriental rug & table is deep enough that it needs a mat to avoid tracking snow and mud onto the house or onto the oriental rug(s)
My current rug (which looks like a commercial grade black mat with some texture to it) measures 5 X 3 feet, including the slight overlap onto the oriental rug. If I can find a camel color LOW PROFILE rug that blends with the background of the oriental, it will work, but it needs to be flat enough to allow the front door to fully open. Help!

is this a good mat to use when we come in from snow with wet boots?
our problem is wet floors form our wet boots. but this says not to put on wet floors,,,,why is that?
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The Water & Dirt Shield Parquet Door Mat would be an excellent solution for wiping off wet, snowy, boots. We simply recommend that the mat is placed on a dry floor when it is initially installed. If the floor is wet when you put the mat on top of it, moisture could potentially become trapped beneath the mat. If the floor is dry, this is not an issue.
