It is important the structure you intend to use is sturdy enough to support the weight of the reel, along with approximately 32 lbs. of water. This particular set does include an optional metal post for mounting the hose reel.

High quality, excellent hose
We absolutely love this hose; it’s the best one we’ve had to date (we’ve been through hundreds of dollars worth). I discovered one at a client’s home (I’m a gardener) and used it and liked it so much, I ordered my own. It doesn’t kink, pulls out nice and easy and retracts well and completely, as long as we turn the water off and let residual out while it’s retracting. It then smoothly recoils itself. Installation was easy, and we cemented our post into the ground one day, installed the hose the next. I especially like that it swivels a full 180°, very helpful in reaching different areas of the yard. Very high quality product. I would buy again and highly recommend.

Best Christmas present
Bought this as a Christmas present for my son because we bought 2 for our house and just love them. No more dealing with kinked hoses or having to wrap it back up. Made our lives safer much easier.

Long Life!
We have had our retractable hose from Frontgate for about 7 years. I have used it almost everyday. It has finally died, but what a great product it has been. The retraction is strong and zips the entire length of hose in seconds. It pulls out of the housing easily and licks in place on the first pull. Once you use Frontgate retractable hose, you will never want to go back to wrapping up hoses by hand.
