All-weather Wicker Storage Chest is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deteriorates in the sun! Way to expensive for such a short life span! No customer service available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great name. Very descriptive Love quality and construction of this chest. So glad I found it in a catalogue. Just what we needed to hide all our pool toys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I have 3 storage chests for over 3 years. They have been great for summer storage of cushions and pool supplies. I store them in a shed during winter. I have had no problems with them at all. Highly recommend them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for outdoor use I purchased the wicker storage chest a few years ago. It does indeed keep the cushions dry. However, the wicker is not UV protected so it deteriorates rather quickly, leaving you with a watertight box that is not particularly attractive. Unless you intend to keep the chest out of the sun, buy something else that is much less expensive. Customer 'service' will recommend you find someone to replace the wicker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Storage Chest We've bought the chest at the beginning of Spring, in Texas that's months ago, to replace a chest we'd had for 5 years. We wanted a larger chest and a full wicker chest. We love the look, feel and bigger size. The closing cylinders are strong and even had our grandchildren "grutting" a little to open and close the lid. They still love it since during th eswim months, it holds a lot more pool toys. Love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not weather resistant!! Do NOT buy this product if it will not be under roof. It is not weather resistant. After a couple of weeks my chair cushions are wet (a couple are soaked) and starting to mildew. Extremely disappointed in the chest.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wet, wet, wet So disappointed in Frontgate. Words used in overview of this products is just a bunch of lies. Water does not runs off top, it is not all weather and it does not keep your contents dry and mildew free. Bought this (expensive) to store our cushions and cushion covers. All were soak and wet after 1 rain! Please Frontgate at the very least be truthful to your customers. Called about this and received nothing in return for valid information.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from beware over time I had this large box for about a year + when the outside straps started to fade, crack and deteriorate from sun UV exposure. Do not put it outdoors in direct sunlight. Frontgate credited half the cost back as compensation but now we just have a large plastic box storing cushions.

If this is exposed to rain, will water get inside the storage chest?

Asked by: ACSAtlanta
Yes it will. Mine leaks around the sides, so anything against the edges gets wet. Not happy about that.

Is this real wicker or synthetic? How does it fare in the SW desert summer heat?

Asked by: EdMi
We've owned this for 22 months (only one summer) in central Florida and it is 'shot'. The bronze color has become a greenish-grey and the material has become so brittle that it breaks if you touch it. I've included some photos. Unfortunate because it's a great piece! I don't know if I got a bad one - the other people answering this question had more positive experiences!

I just received this storage chest and it opened beautifully, but I can not get it to shut...is there a trick to it?

Asked by: rockpainter
For us, it's a matter of lots of muscle! Even after 18 months it is difficult to close.

Outdoor winter storage

Should this be covered in the winter when exposed to snow? If it should be covered, do you sell a cover that would fit this chest?
Asked by: Ryan1977
I had 3 for 8 years in 100* Texas heat and exposed all winter. Not a single problem. If you really want to cover it I'd suggest a large tarp or maybe an outdoor sofa cover. Nothing is going to fit perfectly but it might put your mind at ease.
