Set The Table For Spring Entertaining

There’s nothing that reinvigorates our love of entertaining like the return of outdoor season. As soon as it starts to warm up, we want to take everything outside, from morning coffee to sunset night caps. Alfresco gatherings inspire a more casual vibe, which means as the host you can spend more time preparing the food – or enjoying the company of your family and friends. Here are four ways we’re looking forward to setting the table for everything from Easter and graduation parties to our first dinner outside (even if it still is a little chilly).

PICK A THEME

Play into the season with a floral presentation celebrating your favorite flower. Accent these Spring Floral Salad Plates with an arrangement featuring real or faux peonies. Ground the presentation with a solid colored plate and placemats.

GO NAUTICAL

Anything coastal is always a hit with us. Not only is it forever in style, it’s an easy look to achieve. Textured placemats add an instant seaside vibe when paired with everyday dinnerware in white (or blue). Create a simple (but impactful) centerpiece of found seashells and tropical greenery, and you’re ready to go.

SIMPLY TIMELESS

Let the surroundings do the talking, and keep your table classic and simple. Our rattan placemats add a bit of visual interest to our always-in-style Contessa Dinnerware (psst: these plates are so durable, they pass the test for commercial use!). A fresh-from-the-garden arrangement makes your settings feel polished and complete. This easy-to-accomplish look makes even last-minute dinners feel put together.

BRING ON THE COLOR

Hint at even warmer days with a set of brightly colored plates made to enjoy from now until the end of summer. Resistant to breaking, scratching and chipping, melamine plates are perfect for outside gatherings. Even better – lots of our melamine collections mix well, so you can have fun trying different combinations to keep each party feeling fresh.
